Designer, blogger, entrepreneur and adventurer from Lithuania. With a mission to help 1 million people to change their lifestyle for good.
I'm Tomas Laurinavicius, a web, user interface and user experience designer that has been focused on usable, converting and visually aesthetic web and mobile app design for over 5 years.
I've always wanted to create things but growing up in a small town in Lithuania I had a limited access to design resources. Nonetheless, I've given up playing games and I've found myself educating online. After experimenting with numerous tutorials, I've started building my own things that led to paid gigs. I've then started blogging and building my own little empires, Iniwoo, Web Design Fan and Who Design Today. After high school, I've decided to invest into my own future and moved to Denmark to study Multimedia Design & Communication.
In 2013, I've completed my internship at a design agency Studio N3RD in London, UK and successfully proved my knowledge and experience in a design field that led to a full-time position. While still in London, I've launched Despreneur, a magazine for design entrepreneurs with a mission to empower designers and entrepreneurs make more money with design.
In 2014, I've co-authored and self-published Mobile Design Book together with Paula Borowska that sold hundreds of copies so far.
In early 2014, I've co-founded Refe, a stock photo marketplace of natural looking photos of people interacting with technology. The startup was mentioned in more than 100+ media outlets and was acquired by a private person in early 2015.
For the last 10 months, I've been living a digital nomad lifestyle, traveling and working from all around the world. Budapest, Bucharest, Sofia, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bali, Cebu, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Washington DC, New York, London, Copenhagen just to name a few places.
I've been teaching design online for about 4 years now on my blogs and some of the biggest design tutorials websites, including Design Instruct, Tuts+ and Photoshop Star. You may have seen my work on Forbes, Fast Company, Smashing Magazine, Designmodo, 1stWebDesigner, Hongkiat and many other design blogs.
